Details:
Made from Eastern Canadian Larch wood—also known as Tamarack or Juniper—this special wood grows only in certain Northern climates. Featuring meticulously hand-matched unique end-grain patterns, each board is a distinctive piece of craftsmanship.
The durable, self-healing, end-grain construction of Larch makes it the ideal wood for cutting-board construction as the knife edge runs against the grain instead of across. This protects the blade from scarring the surface while keeping the edge of the knife sharp for as much time as possible. Small cuts on the surface of the board will also heal naturally over time as the grain fibers push back into place.
